Premier League Round 16 – Betting Insights
It’s almost middle of December – and the Premier League table is starting to feel tense! The title race is tightening, and a few clubs already look in trouble. This weekend’s Round 16 brings five matches that should add even more drama!
Round 16 Fixtures & Dates This Week
📅 Saturday, 13th December 2025
Liverpool vs Brighton (16.00 CET)
Liverpool’s season has come from concern to crisis and back again, often within the same week. Winning away at Inter in midweek provided temporary calm, but the problems at home are still there. They’ve won only two of their last five league games, the defence looks shaky, and Mohamed Salah being benched after his interview hasn’t helped. The numbers remain concerning: just 23 points after 15 games.
Brighton come in eighth but haven’t been convincing in their last two matches. Still, their away form is solid – two straight clean sheets and just one loss in five on the road. They also tend to cause Liverpool headaches — they won the last meeting in May.

Arsenal vs Wolves (21.00 CET)
Arsenal remain top, but their recent dip is starting to worry fans. Injuries at the back are causing mistakes, and the late loss to Villa stung. Their Champions League 3-0 win in midweek should help confidence, and the Gunners have won four straight league matches at the Emirates.
Wolves, meanwhile, are sinking fast. Fifteen games, zero wins, and a defence that looks lost. Monday’s 4-1 home loss to Manchester United was another low point. They’ve lost four straight away games without scoring—and now face the league leaders.
Prediction: Arsenal to Win
📅 Sunday, 14th December 2025
Crystal Palace vs Manchester City (15.00 CET)
Crystal Palace are having a brilliant season. Fourth in the table, 26 points, organised, and confident! Selhurst Park has been lively, even if Man City have dominated Premier League visits here since 2015, though Palace stunned them in the FA Cup last May.
Manchester City look sharp again. Three league wins in a row, all with three or more goals, and a big away win at Real Madrid in midweek. When they hit this rhythm, they usually stay in it. Palace will try to cause problems – but Man City look too strong right now.
Prediction: Over 2.5 Goals

Sunderland vs Newcastle (15.00 CET)
The Tyne–Wear derby returns, and the timing couldn’t be better. Sunderland’s season has been a surprise joyride. Unbeaten at home, playing bold and structured football under Régis Le Bris, and sitting ninth (above Newcastle!) in the table. The concern is what happens when seven starters leave for AFCON, but that’s next month’s problem.
Newcastle are improving again, sitting a point below Sunderland, and unbeaten in four games (including a wild draw in Leverkusen). But their away form has been unreliable for months, and a loud Stadium of Light won’t make life easier.
Prediction: BTTS: Yes
West Ham vs Aston Villa (15.00 CET)
West Ham have settled into a certain pattern: no league win in five games, defensive issues that keep repeating. They’ve conceded more 90th-minute goals than almost anyone. Their record against Villa has also slipped in recent seasons.
A year ago, you couldn’t have convinced anyone that Aston Villa would become one of the Premier League’s most reliable winning machines. Yet here they are: nine wins in ten, beating everyone from Brighton to Arsenal, and climbing right behind Manchester City. Unai Emery has turned them into a team that knows exactly what it’s doing.
Prediction: Aston Villa to Win
